‘No smile please’ – São Paulo, 2009

Seb has always been the funny and cheerful guy when at Red Bull Racing. I remember grabbing him here after a practice session on Friday as he was coming out of the garage and asked him to put his balaclava back on for a picture. I´d take 3-4 images while he’d kept smiling and was ready to pull another joke, at that moment I put down my camera and asked him for a serious one with no smile. I believe he didn’t expect that and for 2-3 seconds he lost his smile from his face, that’s when I took this picture. Ten seconds later he’d be on his way to the motor home. This one minute shoot brought one of my most favourite portraits of his to date, not to mention the other 4 images were kind of out of focus anyway…
